Enjoy a great ecological adventure in the Dominican Republic. You will start in the modern and comfortable buses and arrive to Miches, a small fishermans’ village. Once you arrive, you will board the boat which will take you along the Caño Hondo River. Here, you will admire the impressive karst landscape, where the dense vegetation composed of mangroves alternates with rocky headlands. After the boat ride, you will go into the tropical forest to visit some caves that have a series of petroglyphs, engraved by the local natives, which are still the subject of studies today. During this walk in the National Park of Los Haitises , you will be able to observe numerous endemic species, such as manatees, sea turtles or pelicans. Around noon, you will be offered a typical Dominican lunch. You can also indulge in a moment of pure well-being with a relaxing bath in the medicinal mud of Paraíso Caño Hondo. After lunch, you will head to Montaña Redonda, where you be taken to its top on a Safari truck. Montaña Redonda has a unique spot , being in the middle of two large lagoons (Laguna Limón and Laguna Redonda). To the East it has the Atlantic ocean and to the West the Eastern Cordillera. Due to its special location, Montaña Redonda offers the most spectacular panoramic view in the Dominican Republic. With a light breeze on its top, you can appreciate the beautiful landscape surrounding it. You can make unique photos and thanks to the swings provided on the territory you can feel as if you were touching the clouds. At the end of the excursion you will be taken back to your accommodation.
