With this tour you will be taken to the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo, the first city of the new world, founded by Christopher Columbus in 1503.
You will arrive to Santo Domingo early in the morning and first visit the cave “Los Tres Ojos” with 3 lakes inside. Next, you will pass by the Columbus lighthouse and head to the Colonial zone, where you will explore the main historical monuments. You will be shown around the historical zone of the capital stopping at the Alcázar de Colón (the House of Diego Columbus), Plaza España (the Square of Spain), Calle Las Damas (the Street of the Ladies), Panteón de la Patria (the National Pantheon) and Basílica Menor de Santa María (The Cathedral of Santa María la Menor). Afterwards, you will have lunch in one of the local restaurants and be given time to do some shopping in the larimar and amber museum. Afterwards, you will head back. On the way back you will pass by the Presidential palace and will be transferred back to Bayahibe.
