FULL DAY EXCURSION (WHALE WATCHING SEASON IS FROM JANUARY 15^TH TO March 15^th)

Bayahibe: 6 AM – 7:30 PM.

Punta Cana: 7 AM – 6:30 PM.

• Watching the acrobatic tricks of the majestic humpback whales in the bay of Samaná in their natural calving and mating period.
• Beach time and lunch on Cayo Levantado island.

Full description 

With this tour we will take you on a unique emotional journey. No other tour will leave you in awe like this direct encounter with mother nature. You will take the company provided bus to the port city Las Cañitas. Here you will be given a small breakfast and afterwards you will board a motomaran and head to the open waters searching for whales (the searching might take a while; once the whales are encountered, the watching duration is around 30 min). Every year between the months of January and March these majestic creatures come to the warm waters of the Atlantic to reproduce. Witness incredible displays of flippering, tail lobbing and breaching by the most active species of whale in the Atlantic. Seeing mother nature at its best, observing something so majestic is overwhelming and, believe us, leaves you breathless.

Afterwards, you will head to the island of Cayo Levantado, also known as the Bacardi island. It is well known for its snow white sands and crystal clear waters. Here you will enjoy a typical Dominican lunch and have the rest of the time to enjoy the beach.

After enjoying the hospitality of Cayo Levantado you will board the motomaran to go back to the port of Las Cañitas where the bus will be waiting to take you back to your hotels in Punta Cana and Bayahibe.

Itinerary:

6:00am – departure from Bayahibe (time varies depending on the hotel).

7:20am – departure from Punta Cana (time varies depending on the hotel).

9:30am – arrival at Las Cañitas.

11:30pm – the end of whale watching, departure for Cayo Levantado.

12:00pm – arrival at Cayo Levantado, lunch and free time on the beach.

3:00pm – departure from Cayo Levantado for Las Cañitas.

3:45pm – arrival at Las Cañitas and departure for the hotels in Bayahibe/Punta Cana.
