Full description

With this excursion you will experience a day on Catalina, a coral island formed by three superposed plateaus. The highest point of the island is only twenty meters above sea level. The sea waters that surround the island are rich in wildlife, with many species of birds and tropical fish.

You will be picked up at your accommodation and taken to La Romana. Here around 10 AM you will board the motomaran and leave for the Catalina island, where you will stay until around 3:00 PM. On the way you will stop in the open sea for a snorkeling session (snorkeling masks provided) to discover the beautiful underwater world of the Caribbean. The sea is rich in corals and fish in this particular region of Catalina island which makes it a famous snorkeling destination. The tour includes a buffet lunch on the beach, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. At the end of this fantastic day at the beach, you will sail back to La Romana accompanied by the entertainment staff on the catamaran with music and Caribbean dancing. Once you come back to the port the transfer will take you back to your accommodation.

Itinerary:

7:00am – departure from Punta Cana (time varies depending on the hotel).

9:00am – departure from Bayahibe (time varies depending on the hotel).

10:00am – departure from the port of La Romana.

11:00am – arrival at the snorkeling site La Pared.

12:00pm – arrival at Catalina island, lunch and free time on the beach.

3:15pm – departure for the port of La Romana.

4:30pm – arrival at the port of La Romana. Departure for the hotels in Bayahibe/Punta Cana.
